A Plan Sponsor must choose and monitor appropriate investment management to invest the plan’s assets. Investment style, preferences and constraints will be captured in the Investment Policy Statement. The Investment Policy Statement will also define investment benchmark objectives used as the basis for Performance Measurement. It should be noted that if there is a future requirement to change one or more of the investment managers because of changes in their people, process or performance, Proteus will include all future searches as part of the governance process, free of charge.

• Identify restrictions or constraints
• Identify investment preferences
• Identify investment guidelines
• Set benchmark investment objectives at the direction of the plan sponsor
• Compare style, preferences and objectives with current investment manager(s)
